Part V contains three complete ACT math tests. Each test has 60 questions and a time limit of 60 minutes. After each test chapter, I include an answer chapter with detailed explanation of how to answer each question.

### Chapter 13. Practice Test 1

Ah, here’s what you’ve been waiting for — a chance to flex your ACT math muscles! Okay, maybe you aren’t that excited, but, really, taking the practice tests is what prepping for the ACT is all about. Complete this test (as well as the other ones provided), take it seriously, and I guarantee you’ll be much more at ease on exam day.

In order to best simulate real exam conditions, I recommend you do the following:

**1. Sit where you won’t be interrupted or tempted to pick up the TV remote or your phone.**

**2. Use the answer sheet provided to practice filling in the dots.**

**3. Set your timer for the time limits indicated at the beginning of the test.**

**4. Check your work for this test only; don’t look at more than one test at a time.**

**5. Avoid taking breaks during the test.**

When you finish this practice test, turn to Chapter 14, where you find detailed explanations of the answers as well as an abbreviated answer key. I recommend that you go through the answer explanations to all the questions, not just the ones that you missed, because you’ll find lots of good info that may help you later on.
